Two highly experienced musicians found one another in the music of the Roaring Twenties and the Swinging Thirties. Swing, Jazz Blues and Hokum,
music about love, dancing, alcohol and about the prohibition. Professor Peter sings and plays ukulele and banjolele with
every now and than a solo on mouthharp of kazoo. The Tubaman plays en beautifull large Tuba.
Professor Peter is a dutch ukulele player, crooner and multi instrumentalist. Somewhere during his misical career, Professor Peter heard the music of the twenties and thirties, also known
as Tin Pan Alley.
And it never let go. For more than 15 years he went through sources of old music. Many well known songs but also some obscure material has turned up. In the end
the purpose is singing and playing the songs.
Tubaman is, according to his words, a man who digests anything in music. He has played many musical styles in many different settings.
The last few years it was Trombone and Tuba that kept him busy. The music of Tin Pan Alley already interested him for some
time before he met Prof Peter. Forming a duo gives him the opportunity to play this style of music.
The Prof and Tubaman enjoy the proces of arranging and playing the old songs. Both of them are convinced beaufiful music was written in the twenties and thirties,
and it deserves to be played.

Ergens in zijn muzikale leven kwam Professor Peter de muziek uit de jaren twintig en dertig tegen, ook wel samengevat met de term Tin Pan Alley.
En die muziek liet hem niet meer los. Sinds ruim 15 jaar houdt hij zich bezig met zoeken in diverse bronnen naar interessant materiaal. Veel bekende en obscure
liedjes zijn voorbij gekomen. Uiteindelijke is zingen en spelen van de oude liedjes het doel.
Tubaman is, wat hij zelf noemt, een veel-eter. In zeer uiteenlopende bands heeft hij muziek gemaakt in even zoveel uiteenlopende stijlen.
De laatste jaren richt hij zich vooral op Tuba en Trombone. Interesse in Tin Pan Alley muziek bestond al lang. Samenwerken met Prof Peter bood de kans
praktisch er mee aan de slag te gaan.
De Prof en Tubaman genieten van het samen zoeken naar een passende bewerking en uitvoering van de liedjes
Beide muzikanten zijn er van overtuigd, dat in die jaren 20 en 30 werkelijk prachtige muziek is geschreven. En die muziek verdient het om gespeeld te worden.
